AA Home Emergency Response Cover

The AA (www.aa.com) offers a home emergency response package which will cover you in the event of a whole range of domestic disasters including burst pipes, roof damage, or pest infestations, for as little as £4.99 per month.

What’s included in the cover

Having the basic home emergency cover will mean you’re covered in the event of many household emergencies including:

1. Problems with the plumbing and drains - such as:
• Flooding
• burst or blocked pipes
• blocked drains
• damage to your water or heating system
2. Problems with the water supply pipe - for example if there are any cracks or blocks in the public water supply to your home
3. Gas failures to your appliances
4. Electrical failures
5. Any roof damage which affects the security of your home or where there's a likelihood of flooding
6. Security (glazing and locks) - so any damage to doors, bricks or windows which affects the security of your home will also be covered
7. Making your home safe following a fire or burglary
8. Pest infestation - including removal of wasp or hornet nests, as well as other vermin.

You can also add boiler protection and your boiler and central heating system will also be covered.

What the AA promises

The emergency helpline and AA’s approved tradesman are available 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.

With the cover you will be entitled to up to four insured events per policy year, with a maximum of £2,000 per claim and £8,000 in total per period of insurance.

Emergency cover costs from as little as £4.99 a month, but you can add more services such as boiler breakdown cover if you’re willing to pay more

AA members also benefit from lower premiums than non-AA members.
